Benefits of Engaging a Personal Trainer

Working with a personal trainer in a private gym setting has benefits that a crowded public gym just can’t provide. I want my clients to have a realistic view of what they can expect to receive in return for their hard-earned dollars.

First of all, a smaller, well-equipped studio gym does not have the distractions of a members-only gym setting. Without distractions you can focus on training and maximize your training time, giving you the most value for your time and money. Because the focus is on you, you will learn to use gym equipment properly and you won’t be waiting line to use a machine!

Personal Training provides discipline that builds not only mean or lean muscle mass, but confidence. One-on-one training time is personal. Your trainer will ask questions about your overall medical history and current physical conditioning before designing a program to meet your goals. A training partner will encourage you to be your best. During your training, new exercises and techniques will be introduced, as needed, to challenge you and keep you engaged in the process. Whether you prefer classes, semi-private or private training, your commitment to a training schedule will allow you to see results more quickly.

Tips for Choosing a Personal Trainer

Tips for Choosing a Personal Trainer

  1. Shop around – find out what options are available to you.
  2. Find one whose expertise matches what you want to accomplish.
  3. Meet with them to find out if you are compatible. Beware of narcissists, know-it-alls, and those just in it for the money.
  4. Check out the training location – Is it clean, comfortable, and well equipped?
  5. Check background and qualifications. Education and experience count!

A Good Personal Trainer:

  1. Is open to consulting and working in tandem with your doctor or physical therapist.
  2. Motivates, encourages, and inspires you.
  3. Is upbeat and enthusiastic about your training
  4. Will test your limits to take you to the next level.
  5. Practices what they preach!

What to Bring

Wear comfortable or workout clothing and bring a towel and water. Proper footwear required.
